PAFCPIC marked the start of its 38th year with the conduct of its Annual General Assembly and Election on 9 March 2019. The event's theme of "Alagang PAFCPIC: Matapat. Matatag. Maaasahan." reflects the Cooperative's aspiration to continue to build upon its tradition of quality service. Held at the Headquarters, Philippine Army Grandstand, the event was well-attended with the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines General Benjamin R Madrigal Jr AFP gracing the occasion as Guest of Honor and Speaker.

Gen Madrigal applauded PAFCPIC in its efforts in keeping its members from facing a predicament when it comes to their finances as the cooperative helped its members in improving their financial capacity and capability through a variety of its services, from loans, savings and other programs. He attributed its accomplishments and outstanding performance for the past year to its determined and capable leadership, professional yet caring workforce, and supportive member-partners.

He remarked on the collective growth and development of the cooperative saying, "PAFCPIC's success is also its members' success. Thus, internal cooperation is very important in the sustainment of financial operations. Every member is a partner so be sure to always do your part, among which is to vote for responsibile leaders during the election later. Only by doing so can we ensure the sustained success of PAFCPIC. ... an institution which overcame numerous challenges in the past, and it shall continue to continue to surpass every expectation in the future. With that, I trust that each and every one of you shall do your parts in upholding the vision, mission and goals of PAFCPIC."

Presentation of Candidates

The election, held during the day using the electronic voting system wherein votes are tabulated real-time, counted 29,794 votes equivalent to 503 walk-in voters and 364 representative voters. Maj Darah C Regis, Chairperson of the Election Committee, announced the winners as Cristopher T Calulot Sr, Lebrito L Olmoguez and Emmanuel M Gongora for Officer category; Maria Teresa L Parcasio and Segundo R Lanuza Jr for Enlisted Personnel category; and, Lucrecia R Guibone and Flordeliza T Sanglay for Civilian category, all under the Board of Directors. Also declared as winners were Wilma N Abuan and David M Segura for Audit and Supervisory Committee; and Grace Joy A Donque for Officer category, and Ana Maria A Luzada for Civilian category, both for the Election Committee. They were sworn into office on 16 March 2019.
